Collectors bought 36,000 NFT packets from RealFevr in a successful second sale.
RealFevr has completed a second auction of Non-fungible Token (NFT) representing Cristiano Ronaldo’s first professional goal.
RealFevr’s Second NFT Sale
Unprecedented demand for the extremely rare Ronaldo NFT has caused chaos on RealFevr’s servers since the auction was announced. RealFevr had over 10,000 unique users and 4 million page views, slowing the server and affecting sales. RealFevr’s marketing director, Delfim Cascais, revealed. It sold out in 5 hours.
When aspiring buyers finally opened their packs, not everyone was pleased with what they found, but this is simply a reality of the set probabilities at hand; the randomness of blockchain.
“Right now people are complaining because they didn’t pull Legendary moments, which is completely normal. After all this is like a lottery, but everything is on-chain, so it’s completely random and based on probabilities. There were only 200 legendaries and 1 Unique on the Drop!” Delfim Cascais confirmed.
Despite the sadness that some may have felt, Cascais emphasized that as a consequence of the sale, 67.2 million $FEVR tokens will be stored in a move that would be as advantageous as a ‘burn.’
Plenty of household footballing names, whose on-field magic had been recorded and rendered into NFTs, were up for grabs.
Of course, Ronaldo’s goal was not the only sought-after NFT in the sale, which also included Radamel Falcao’s famous goal during his time at FC Porto. Angel Di Maria’s spectacular effort from outside the box while at SL Benfica was also purchased. Joao Felix, the most expensive player to come out of the Primeira Liga, also had a sought-after piece of his goal against the mighty Iker Casillas.
On the best years of the Argentine League, RealFevr also got an exclusive classic moment of a save from Chilavert against Diego Maradona according to Cascais.
Many observers will be watching how these NFTs perform in the market, as RealFevr may begin to see interest from more crypto users. With projects like Chiliz and Crypto.com recently combining sports and crypto, RealFevr may have wanted to establish their own authority.
RealFevr’s football fandom is multifaceted. A fantasy football app since 2015, it has over 2.5 million downloads and 1.2 million users. The protocol is now releasing the Binance Smart Chain-powered Football Video NFTs Marketplace. A Web 3.0 gateway to football’s greatest moments, the $FEVR token. The protocol also allows fans to buy, sell, and profit from their collectibles.
